Kingsoft Office Suite Free 2012

Now, this is one piece of software that is hard to believe it’s free, and why? Let’s start with how usefull this is.

It’s basically a complete Office Suite, comes with a Writer, Presentation and Spreadsheet. You can create and edit current Microsoft Office files with 100% compatibility with Microsoft Formats. This pushes OpenOffice and LibreOffice to a tight edge.  It has a complete fully-featured interface and yet, clean and simple to use, sort of like MS Office without the Ribbon interface (remember the good old days? :-) ) Now, I know Ribbon Interface have it’s number of fans, it’s obvious Microsoft ideas can’t please greeks and trojans, but we have to agree that the plain old interface was much simpler to use, everything was just there and was easy to find. This is the interface that KingSoft Office Suite brings.

You also have a Professional version of this Suite which costs $69.95, but hey, give a try to the free version and believe me, you will be extremely happy with it!

  • The installer is a simple next next finish, no tricks, no Ads or Spyware.
  • Allows you to associate the file extensions *.doc, rtf, *.xls *.ppt .

Some screens:

The writer once you open it:

Writer

A simple edit of a file using Writer.

Writer - [whatsnew.txt]

The Spreadsheet Editor (just like Excel eh?)

Spreadsheets - [Book1]

And the Presentation!

Presentation - [Presentation1]

As you can see, the interface is easy to use, intuitive and very familiar if you have used any other Office Suite.

Best of all, is compatible with the most recent Microsoft Office file types. Doesn’t change the format or content of the files created by MS Office or OpenOffice, it just stays the same.

Highly Recommended. 5 star for this one!

  3. Thank you for your comment :) Yes, it's a pretty good alternative. GoogleDocs is pretty good too with very good support for formats, but isn't freeware so ... maybe I'll include it soon as a trial, who knows :) Thank you once again.
